Living Low Carb - Diet Plan Outline

Living Low Carb is more of resource for following a decreased carbohydrate diet. It is not a comprehensive diet. The book has some good recipes and advice, but the science and feasibility of such a regimen is dubious at best. There is little long-term data on the effectiveness of low carb diets. They are notorious for not working in the long term, for no other reason than they are highly restrictive. That usually leads to eventually "falling off the wagon," and reverting back to consuming all the highly processed carbs that we all love so much.

If you really want to lose weight and keep it off, there remains an optimal diet: decreased saturated fat, fruits and vegetables and high-fiber carbohydrates, along with regular exercise. The real deal is self-discipline, which all these low carb diets try desperately to get around.
