French Womens Diet - Diet Plan Outline
The "French Women's Diet" was created by a New York executive named Mireille Guiliano who was born in France. The diet regimen follows the common eating patterns that French women follow in order to indulge while still staying thin. French meals typically contain several courses, but the portions are small and the foods are higher in quality. Guiliano suggests finding fruits and vegetables that are in season and full of flavor. Enjoy a few ounces of something really good instead of a half a pound of something less tasty. French women balance their indulgences by sacrificing somewhere else. Cheating at one time of the day, might mean an extra twenty minutes of exercise at another time of the day. In the first phase of the plan, dieters keep a journal of everything they eat for a few weeks to determine where they are overeating. In the next phase, for 1-3 months, dieters slowly adjust their diets.
This is no miracle diet. It is portion control, pure and simple, and common sense, something all these weight loss gurus think none of us posses. Those of us who are overweight need to quit trying to find the next "hot" diet or fad and just do what all these fancy "new" diets all do in one way, shape or form: they try to make you eat less and become more active. Do that and you'll lose weight, save money and feel empowered to control your own weight.
