eDiets - Diet Plan Outline
eDiets originated as a low-fat weight loss plan based on the the recommendations of the American Dietetic Association and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Guide Pyramid, but it has expanded its offerings to alternative nutrition plans including the Atkins Diet, The Zone, Dr. Phil's Shape Up, vegetarian, low-cholesterol and many others. eDiets does not sponsor its own line of food and weight loss drugs are not a part of the program. All foods are supermarket foods.
A membership costs $3-5/week, cancelable anytime, which makes it less expensive than most of the competition (Don't be fooled by the slick advertising and pricing of most diet programs. Pay attention to the small print and additional offerings that are more-or-less required purchases in the future such as food, supplements, energy bars, shakes, etc...)
No other weight loss strategy is more effective in the long term than a sensible, informed and independent approach. eDiets offers the most comprehensive program for just such a strategy. It's inexpensive, convenient and represents a marked improvement on traditional programs. eDiets' website offers a free personal profile which is helpful to let you know where you stand. You'll probably save yourself a lot of money and grief by giving eDiets a try.
