"The New Beverly Hills Diet" is authored by Judy Mazel and Michael Wyatt. Eating proteins, carbohydrates, and fats at the same time "confuse your enzymes" and your food will not not digest properly. Emphasizes eating less fat and much more fruit.

Con: Such division of nutrients does not make your enzymes more efficient. Combining foods is vital to your health. Eating specific nutrients, while avoiding others, causes decreases in energy while combining protein, fats and carbohydrates make you feel fuller longer. At least the diet emphasizes eating fruit. But you shouldn't do so at the expense of other vital nutrients. The Beverly Hills Diet is a gimmick, plain and simple.
